the Canadian Army (Royal Canadian Engineers) for three years. After graduating from Carleton University, Don taught History at the Bruce Peninsula District School in Lion’s Head.

He retired in 1999 and enjoyed 20 years of collecting and painting soldiers, designing dioramas, setting up Remembrance Day displays in the library and downtown stores and model railroading. Don had a lot of visitors to his Lionel train set up in the barn and always made them do a history quiz of the layout. Don was a very creative person who always had a project on the go. He will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be conducted from the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m.
